The technical know-how and the special selection and composition of ingredients make the colours extraordinary. High-quality, purely mineral pigments are used to create authentic colour shades with high aesthetic standards. AURO products can easily be returned to the material cycle of nature, as can all woods treated with them.

For its products, AURO uses oils, resins, waxes and pigments from nature, so the production residues can be composted.
The idea of manufacturing products from natural substances was the brainchild of founder and chemist Dr. Hermann Fischer, who has been working towards "green chemistry" since the end of the 1970s, i.e. to produce everyday products based on plants, algae, microorganisms and mineral substances rather than petroleum. Numerous awards confirm the ongoing commitment.
Paints with the highest quality standards: For this purpose, the knowledge gained from projects as well as from daily use is brought together. The AURO Research & Development department brings together the right manufacturing process, the selection of the right ingredients and the knowledge of the interrelationships of the substances.
The intensive analysis of each ingredient was also the reason why we excluded petrochemical-based substances from AURO paints.

The trend is towards greater sustainability and environmental protection. A survey among German painters and drywallers showed that ecological paints occupy the top position among the top 10 trend themes (34%).

Thanks to its purely mineral character, Ecolith paints are free of acrylates and thus completely free of microplastics or other environmentally harmful ingredients.
