Oiling and waxing

If you wish to protect your wooden floors in a natural way and enjoy all their advantages, a high-grade wood oil and wax are the best choice. A treatment with the solvent-free PurSolid Hard oil allows the wood structure to remain visible, lets your floor breathe and enables the absorption and the release of humidity. An extra layer of the Hard wax ensures a long-time protection.

Also needed:
  • Once-disc polishing machine, grinding and polishing pads
  • Trowel, floor roll, handle, fountain blade
  • Shoe protectors
  • Stiring bar, cotton cloth

Preparation: Clean the wooden floor thoroughly.

Tip: Use shoe protectors while working on the oiled surface.

Products and tools.

You will also need a one-disc polishing machine. It can be rent from professional shops.

Stir well the PurSolid Hard oil before use.

Afterwards pour it into a paint pan.

Paint the edge areas and corners with a small roll or a brush first.

Than soak a large floor roller evenly into the oil and apply on the floor in even lanes.

Leave the oil to soak in for 15 minutes. Should there still be matt spots after this time, apply the oil once again and leave for a moment to soak in.

Use a squeegee to remove the oil that remained on the surface.

A small hand squeezee or fountain blade will also do.

Collect the regained oil back into the pan.

The regained oil can be used again.

Use the beige or the red pad for the one disc polishing machine.

Polish the oil thoroughly into the wooden surface.

Tip: For a smooth, even surface, remove the oil leftovers with a white pad.

Polish the edges and corners by use of a cotton cloth. Leave for drying for 24 hours before the wax application.

Tip: If you only wish to oil your floor without waxing, apply one more layer of oil after 24 hours.

If you wish to protect your floor with wax, apply one layer of the PurSolid hard wax, keeping the drying time of 24 hours after the oil application.


Apply the semifluid wax on several spots of the floor using a blade.

Spread and polish the wax into the surface with a polishing machine, using a white pad.

Wait for 30 minutes.

Put on a finer pad and polish once again. Done!

Safety notice!

Due to the danger of self-ignition of drying oils, all used cloths and pads must be spread out separately and left for drying outdoors or put into water.
