Living with AURO

The application of AURO products is a child’s play. Your local AURO partner gladly lends his support.

Children’s room

Our own child’s room is deeply engraved in our memory. This is where most of a child’s daily life takes place, where consolation and secureness are found, the room to play and find quiet sleep in.

For children up to 3 years, delicate colour tones with a soothing effect are beneficial. It does not necessarily have to be the usual pink or baby blue. There is a variety of fitting colours, e.g. a delicate lime green, mauve, or a pale purple tone.

At the age of 3 or 4, children develop the ability to say themselves what they like or dislike. Show your children a lively colour palette to have them develop an eye for colours and select two or three matching colours together. Stronger colours show their advantage best when only one or two walls are designed with them.

Your child’s temperament should also be taken into account. A comforting effect on introverted children is supported by warm colour tones like brown or orange. These colours blend in well with strong blue, green or purple. For extroverted children, colder colours will be better. If more than one children share a room, separate areas can be created for them in different colours.

Once children reach their teen’s, the character of their room changes. It becomes a shelter from the adult world and is often designed in unconventional colours, e.g. black, as a visible token of their ‘cutting the cord’.
