Oils and fats from controlled biological cultivation

Ecology in every detail: Since the beginning of this year, AURO uses oils and fats from controlled biological cultivation (German: kbA =kontrolliert biologischer Anbau). The coconut fat and palm kernel fat are certified by ECOCERT. The rapeseed, linseed and soya oils we now use were controlled by the IMO (Institute for Market Ecology) and the sunflower oil by the federal eco control point ‘Grünstempel’®.

ECOCERT is one of the most important independent certifying bodies for biological products. ECOCERT’s international activities include examinations in the organic farming business as well as the manufacturing industry in more than 80 countries.

The seal of this bio-certification organisation guarantees certified biological quality of food and other products of ecological farming.

Moreover, the rapeseed, linseed and soya oils are tested by the IMO (Institute for Market Ecology), an internationally approved independent control organization for the certification of environmentally friendly products, ecological farming and management systems.

Finally, the sunflower oil received its ‚green stamp‘ from Grünstempel®, a federal eco control point that is licensed by the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food.

AURO participates in a bee-saving project in Belgium

Recently, AURO’s project of taking on the sponsorship of beehives in Belgium has substantiated.
The ‘B to Bee’ project ‘Made in Abeilles’ has launched this sponsorship model in order to impede the decline of bee colonies in Belgium.
The hive for AURO’s bee colony is under construction and can soon be seen on the website www.madeinabeilles.be.

This sponsorship in Belgium is part of the environmental engagement that is so vital to AURO. AURO has actually been cooperating with the German environmental protection organisation NABU for many years already by sponsoring many of their projects.

New products

Our research staff have tackled the problem of renovating old and sometimes undefinable coatings with Auro wall paints. They developped two innovative adhesion promoters for difficult substrates. These odour-free and solvent-free products meet Auro’s high ecological and technical requirements and, at the same time, provide for perfect adhesion on nearly all substrates.

Where Auro emulsion or lime paints (e.g. 321, 344) are to be used, the Auro Universal primer no. 305 is the right choice.

As primer under Auro’s fine plasters (307, 308, 309, 345),  AURO Plaster grip coat no. 315 provides for perfect adhesion on every substrate.

If required, the primers can be tinted with up to 10% of Auro Tinting colours no. 330.

The long-awaited AURO product ...

Washable pro emulsion No. 324

The washable pro emulsion No. 324 is a dispersion paint, based on natural oils and resins. Like all other products of the AURO assortment, this paint leaves walls breathable and cares for a healthy indoor climate. White as basis, it can be tinted with AURO Full-shade tinting colours No. 330 so that you can choose your favourite colour from an unlimited number of colour tones.

Proud of its transparency, AURO declares all the raw materials needed for the production of its products on the label.
